What a valid prescription looks like, and why we ask for it
General guidance, checked by our pharmacist. Your medicine's own leaflet and your doctor's advice always come first.
Specialty medicines are prescription medicines. Indian law allows a pharmacy to supply them only against a valid prescription from a registered medical practitioner — this protects you.
A prescription should show
- The doctor's name, qualification and registration number, with the clinic or hospital address.
- The date.
- Your name, and usually your age.
- The medicine's name, strength and how to take it.
- The doctor's signature or stamp.
Why we check it
- It is the law for prescription medicines.
- Our pharmacist checks that the medicine, strength and quantity match what your doctor wrote — before anything is packed.
- It makes sure you get exactly the brand and strength your doctor chose.
How to send it to us
- Take a clear photo of the whole prescription, in good light, with nothing cut off.
- Send it on WhatsApp, or upload it on our Upload Prescription page.
- For a repeat order, send a current prescription — if your doctor has changed the dose, we follow the new one.
Not sure if your prescription is complete? Send a photo on WhatsApp and our pharmacist will check it.
